DIY folding hearts

Folding hearts from kite paper

It's almost Valentine’s Day! It’s not necessarily something we focus on much in our home, but when we saw these cute hearts, my two eldest got excited right away! Folding transparencies is a favourite activity here all year round, and we just had to try this version. We immediately turned it into a DIY, since we thought there might be more enthusiasts out there ❤️

It is a cosy and relaxing activity to do together with the children at the kitchen table. You don’t need much for this DIY: just your favourite colour(s) of kite paper and a glue stick, that’s it!

Follow the steps below and repeat them twice. Carefully glue the loose flaps with a small amount of glue, then stick the two parts together. You can also make squares in different sizes to create hearts of various shapes. Happy folding!

Stick the hearts to the window and admire the stunning effect as the light shines through!
