The use of different types of wood makes each rattle special. Each rattle is made from a single piece of wood. Each piece different in size and color. It is always a surprise which one you ultimately receive at home. The rattles are made from reclaimed wood from the area. Wood that is offered at that moment. Each rattle is finished with safflower oil.
THE STORY OF THE RATTLE
More than 3000(!) years ago, wood was turned in Mesapotamia (now Iraq). A woodturner could turn a ring out of wood. This ring could not be removed from the piece of wood, and was already used in the Middle Ages as a rattle, as a toy to keep the baby occupied.
